As a compassionate congregation trying to consistently live our seven UU principles, where do we fall short in inclusion of ALL? What are
some of the similarities between the approach to the issue of slavery by the Unitarians of the 1830's and the animal enslavement of the present? Can we work for human social justice issues effectively without addressing some of the other most grievous moral imperatives of our global-bottom-line-is-everything mentality of our time? How do we continue to have awareness of the big picture if we turn a blind eye to the situation of "the least of these". Come explore these questions with us as we celebrate our history of compassion and justice. A vegan feast will follow!
